Special Needs Ministry called Jesus Cares Ministries

The mission of Jesus Cares Ministries is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Zion Lutheran Church has conducted special needs Bible classes since the fall of 1998.   People of all ages and levels of ability are welcome.   Our participants come from Olivia and surrounding towns.

Our goal is not to entice people away from their own congregation but to provide a study of God’s Word in a way they can understand.  We use the five senses, games, singing, crafts and movement to teach simple truths from the Bible.  Strong Christian friendships have been built between participants and volunteers.   Our annual Jesus Cares Christmas service has become a favorite for many in the area.
